Hurrybunny is an online food ordering platform that operates in the top cities of the Middle East region. The app provides foods to order from various restaurants in a particular location to order online. With the help of the mobile app, user can place their favorite food from anywhere and get them delivered to their home.

Problem Statement

Hurrybunny reached to Smarther technologies to revamp their existing mobile application. Their previous version of mobile app has a performance and user interface issue. To improve the performance of the app and better usability, Hurrybunny proposed us for the project. The idea is to revamp the complete user interface and include the latest advanced features for better user interaction which will lead to more sales from the app.

The Process

Gathering Information Our Business Analyst gathered information from the client.

Research and Discovery After gathering the requirement, it will be discussed with app developers and they used to research the design technologies before developing it. 

App Development In this process, the coding will be implemented, and the UI/UX designed and back-end is executed.

Testing After that, the app will be undergoing various testing processes and the errors will be rectified.

Hurrybunny app consists of two main apps and one sub-module into it. They are the Admin app who can add vendors to access vendor apps and another main app is the user app.

• User App – With the help of user app, customers can able to find the nearby stores and place the grocery orders online. 

• Delivery App – This app helps delivery executive to track the order and reach out to customers location for handover the orders. 

• Admin Panel – The portal helps admin to control the overall process of the app and to track orders.

App Key Features

User Login & Registration

The app provides easy to login option by simply entering a mobile number and get an OTP to land the homepage. Users can log in or register by entering the valid mobile number.


After entering into the app, users requested to choose the location where they want to explore the food items. By choosing the location area, users can able to play order nearby from their spot.

Advanced Searching

With the help of advanced searching options, users can able to search for desired food items, nearby restaurants, and related categories to explore and place the order from the result.

Category & Filter

The app has separate categories for each cuisine in its platform from different restaurants. Under each category, the food items listed by the provider along with filter and sort options.

Add to cart

Users can able to add their favorite food items into the cart to place the order. With the easy UI/UX, users can manage to add multiple food items into their cart with few clicks.

Offers & Discounts

The app offers unique offers and discounts for its users when they apply a promotion code during the checkout. The offer code is provided by each restaurant from their panel.

Flexible Payment Method

Hurrybunny includes a flexible payment method that makes its user place an order with ease. The payment method includes credit/debit card option, internet banking, and cash on delivery.

Order Tracking

The app includes live order tracking feature which helps the user to track their online order live on the map. By simply click on the track option. they can view the live status of the order.


While starting the revamp of the app, our developers find difficulty in the user flow with the previous version. The app lacks functionality such as advanced search and filter options. Also, the panel for restaurant provider panel and the delivery executive app include lesser options to manage the orders. The admin panel has limited control over controlling the features of the app to manage both users, restaurants, and also delivery executives. The revamp process does require the implementation of some additional features to improve the performance of app and sales of the business.


To come up with the solution, We at Smarther helped Hurrybunny to enhance the performance by including all necessary features for the betterment of the app. We have included many new features and improved the user flow by making the UI/UX process in simple flow. By integrating user app, restaurant panel, and delivery executive app in cloud server all the function works all one central hub which manages to operate the entire system without any issues. We suggested and integrated the best-in-class provides for notification, SMS, and payment services.


We have successfully implemented all the features based on the requirement and deployed them into the Android play store and Apple’s Play store. Hurrybunny services successfully resumed with the new app and started delivering food online to its customers in the middle east. The app gained more than 10000+ downloads in its first month of relaunch and got more than 25000+ orders. The app targets to reach more downloads in the upcoming month to achieve mores sales.
